If someone sent anonymous letters to all old BBC dj.s , with the message "all is revealed, flee at once" I wonder how many would be on the first flight to Rio?

well it is now turning into a male witch hunt, the fluffy bunnies are able to prove that men were really rotten to them when they wanted unbridled sex back in the 60's and gave it to them and now they are saying the men should have asked them to prove they were old enough and trying to get their revenge.

There but for the grace of God go I.

not sure what comment to make about the one or two males who appear to have come forward.

Another paper that blows me away with their witch hunt while running the wall of shame on the right hand side of their web page! They are scum, the lot of them....

Isn't that a pity because in those days things were different. There were plenty of 'groupies' throwing themselves at these DJ's and behaviour which would be frowned on now was accepted then. These women who were in their late teens and 20's at the BBC probably experienced the kind of behaviour that went on just about everywhere. When I was in industry back in those days we all knew which males in the office were likely to creep up behind the girls at the photocopier or try to catch them in the stationery cupboard. During the 1970's I travelled around staying in hotels all over the UK, often with male colleagues. Other women in the office would sometimes warn me what to expect. Most women learnt to be streetwise and deal with things such themselves. Sometimes they enjoyed it.
It was hardy in the same category as predatory paedophila which is what Savile appears to have been engaged in. If the BBC knew about that and didn't try to prevent him being alone with underage girls, I think they do have a case to answer.

Yes Rose, I remember those days well, affairs were rife, one night stands were part of life. I will admit that at times it was fun.
But the pendulum has swung the otherway.
All of a sudden the fluffy bunnies are running around proclaiming everything is wrong, building up on their racist, sexist, and any other "-ist" they can get their hands on.

one of the biggest jokes is they spend all day telling everyone they should be nicer to large families and coloured people. Then go back home to their suburban idyll, all white, professional husband and 2.5 children.

going OT - the harpie named Suzanne Moore they let on to R4's Today prog this morning appears to be the the arch enemy of men (but has 3 kids by 3 different fathers), and IM(male)O the worst possible advert for women in all directions.

Clearly it doesn't seem to matter that someone who raised so much for so many different charities - and who is no longer able to defend himself - becomes villified for something yet to be proven.

It seems that Jimmy Saville and others were sexual predators.
This is a bit different to groupies throwing themselves at rock stars or sports people. Mick Jagger has probably had a few in his time, allegedly.
I remember in my early days of fame it happened to me!!.lol.
I blame the alcohol. I never went to bed with an ugly woman, but I woke up with a few! Now who said that.
