Default Jerez flights

When I lived in Medina I used to be able to fly Stanstead to Jerez. I am back in the UK on vacation in Sept (from USA) and wanted to pop-over to Medina, but the ryanair flight times are hideous, any other options?

Gibraltar and Seville are the next nearest airports, then malaga, then Faro

Yep, flight times are ghastly which is why I donĀ“t use them.

Gib is not as restricted as it used to be. Gib Air has been taken over by Easyjet so thats a good starter then I think Monarch still fly that route.

Hi

Gibraltar flies to Manchester, Heathrow , Gatwick & Luton - just Google Gibraltar Airport. For any Spanish airport use www.aena.es and select the airport to find out where it flies to

We've been to that area a few times in the last couple of years, and we have flown into MƔlaga, mainly because we don't have much choice from out nearest airport. It's about a 2 hour drive from the airport to Medina, dead easy drive.

Given that you have flown from Stansted in the past, I would have thought Luton would be quite easy, and Gibraltar is by far your easiest airport this end.

We're not too far from Medina. We always fly into Malaga as that's the only place you can get to from Bristol. It's an easy drive.

Why do you say that? Surely it is easier to fly in to Seville from Bristol and cheaper.

I didn't know anyone did Bristol - Seville. I'll check it out. (goes and looks)

It looks like Ryanair go twice a week - I didn't know that but it's not very convenient, Ryanair and Easyjet have two flights a day each into Malaga.

Also, although we're only about 20 miles from Medina it's an hour's drive making two and a half hours from Seville. Oh, well, never mind.

Wish they would do Bristol - Gibraltar - would be perfect.

I would love Gib to Bristol and it was talked about a couple of years back but came to nothing. The flights are cheap though.

Yes I know. Apparently they considered it as Gib is considered to be part of the South West peninsula WRT some EU matters. Shame it never happened though...

It was the flight time of 0735 that put me off a bit with those flights. Have to be there about 0530, I guess, and as we are a good 2 hours from the airport, the thought of leaving home about 0300 didn't cheer me up. But cheap as chips compared with what we normally pay from Cardiff.
