Great, that includes Javea then and not just all those dreadful remote urbs up on the hills ;-)
It's cold up there you know.
And when you're looking around, think about what little wassIsName (your son) is going to want to do when not in school.
He's going to want to hang around with his mates, not on a quiet urb. Which means you're going to be a taxi driver daily whizzing between civilization and the urb.
So much to think about.

Pinosol and Rafalet are ok (if given a choice of the two I would go for the first). The dreadful ones are Balcon del Mar and Costa Nova, and up there. IMO!
My preference would be on the Jesus Pobre road just out the back of the old town. You can get something there for the same money a Rafalet one costs.
It has the advantage that when you head into town, you come into the old town. I wouldn't choose to be in the Arenal area.
