Hi everyone my partner and I are about to buy in Isla Canela. Mainly for holidays but as we are reaching retirement we hope time will increase. A bit concerned however that there may be nothing open there in the winter. And that mozzies too bad in the summer. Any guidance would be appreciated as I go through last minute panics

But it is really quiet in winter. Some People like it better that way. But most of the homes are 2nd residences so are locked down.
However IC remains served by a regular bus service so you can get into town for a drink

Of course within a short drive you have 2 countries to enjoy. Lots to do!
We live in CE and outside our development the closest resto (ex petrol stations and the Poligono) is in Portugal... Great!!
Good luck with the purchase!

Hi
In the marina the bar Neputo is open all the year round & has live evening entertainment on a regular basis through out the year
The bar Cinnamon is open six days a week from 4pm until late
The Sugar Reef tends to open when there is football on the TV
Punta De Moral normally has one or two restaurants open during the day but tend to close in the evening
Forget the hotels they all shut up shop for the winter
Some of the beach bars mainly @ the other end of the beach open daily but I'm not sure what time they close
AS previously mentioned Ayamonte is an easy bus ride & a return taxi is around 10 euros
Hope this helps
Chris
There is enough to keep one amused in my opinion
