iphone in Spain, What a disaster

I walked into my local Movistar shop the other day and asked if they had the iphone. The girl rolled her eyes as if to say "not another one". I have been told it could take about 3 months to get one. Does anyone know of any Movistar shops around the costa blanca that might have them?

After such a fantastic launch in Madrid it now seems to be a bit of a non event.:curse:

I realise it's no help, but my local phone shop in the UK has a sign saying "out of stock", too. I'm surprised your shop doesn't put one up, too.

Put your name down on the waiting list. That's the only way you'll get one... and to be fair the situation in the US / UK / etc is little better.

Stores are receiving 10 units a week. So if you're number 80 on the list, you should have yours by October. Hopefully before then, the manufacturing ramp-up should have kicked in.

BTW - the white ones won't start coming here until September - when there should be a wider launch across more Movistar outlets.

Oops. The staff at the Movistar shop were very helpful. Took down my details including desired tariff and the fact I wanted to port my number. They said they'd ring, but also showed me exactly where I was on the list and told me to expect a long wait.

Absolutely true last year, when it didn't support 3G, push e-mail via Exchange ActiveSync, lacked decent VPN support, centralised deployment and remote-wipe, plus you couldn't write apps for it for love nor money.

Now you should see some of the apps we're developing for it, although the best stuff will have to wait until the push notification service later this year!

I'll stick with Blackberry. If I wanted to hear music through my phone I'd just call Movistar and ask to speak to an operator :p

Hmm, Crackberry. Spend $2,995 on BES just to be able to open an attachment :)

Uhhh.... mine cost €50. Had to sit through an hour long presentation though (actually it ended after 25 mins but the wine and tapas was appreciated!)

Obviously I'm getting confused. I got a Curve 8310. That has the software on it, no?
