Telefonica is like BT in spain. There are many 3rd party suppliers but they all use Telefonica lines. Most 3 party suppliers are cheaper than Telefonica but some are not very reliable.

You can use internet cafes. They are widely available on CDS and cheaper than in UK.

If you use any of the others they always ask and want a Telefonica landline before they will connect their ADSL.

according to my neighbour, BT are saying differently now:confused:

mind you, she does already have a telefonica line installed

Maybe they can get lines now then.
I know they will sort everything out and swop the line over so all you pay them is about half (line ADSL and free calls inc) of what Telefonica charge.
