Does anyone know when you become liable for inheritance tax in Spain? By this I mean: Is your date of inheritance deemed to be after probate or the date of death of individual you receive inheritance from?

I went through it 7 years ago and the situation was that you had to present the documents to Hacienda within 6 months of the death.
