Hi everyone

Has anybody heard about the following?

Telefonica are going to erect or have already installed an aerial which will enable people to have phone and ADSL connection within a certain radius of this aerial???

It sounds like the miracle many people have all been waiting for!!!!

Mitzipurr, where did you hear this?

My friend two doors down cannot get a phone even although we have one and are happy for another pole in our garden. He has been told that you are now only allowed to have one pole per house and that it would need three to get to him. This is even though we had four put in to get us a telephone line. Crazy as this would mean more money for Telefonica.

Glynis, this would be similar to what I've been hearing lately.

One guy has no phone, no chance of getting a phone (according to Telefonica). His neighbour, up the dirt track, has a phone and broadband.

A couple have been told that they have no chance of getting a phone line within the next 2-3 years even though they can see a Telefonica line from their property.

We have a nice, free, cordless dect phone from Telefonica but no line to use it with .

We even had a letter from Telefonica in the post, and got all excited, but it was related to the free phone saying they would add 1 cent to our first bill.
