Dealz is also good for Christmas treats with mince pies, the usual UK variety packs for stocking fillers etc. They also have the best deal on cans of Coke at 50c each when you but the full pack. Still no Christmas crackers though.

I'm not sure what's going on with them though. They just closed one in Valencia.

What's the story with Pepco, have they bought them out? We have on in our town but it's nothing like Dealz.

The ones round here have all closed and been refitted and renamed to Pepco. They seem to have more clothing in the stores now and this was previously branded as Pepco.
So I'm assuming they want to get away from the Dealz (pound land) image.
The one on the CV70 on the way to Benidorm has more Spanish people shopping there now than six months ago when it was Dealz..

I went to one of the Valencia Dealz stores last night and yes, it's closing down. Ther was virtually nothing on the shelves so no mince pies or chocolate orange this year. I managed to get some Penguins though, the first time in about 30 years. Will have to try Pepco later to see what they have in store.

i think Mercadona are having a laugh. 1.75!

They have tubs of Heroes chocolates for 4.95 - very similar price to the UK . I suspect your average Spaniard has no idea what they are. We bought one for Spanish friends and they love them.

You can't beat EconomyCash for most things. Any idea if anyone is selling mince pies? I know there's a place in Mercat Central that has them but I really can't be bothered to go down there the day before Christmas.
