You will be lucky to find one that ships to Spain!

If your reason for buying the laptop in the UK is to get one with an English set-up, then I know that you can get one from Dell here in Spain with everything in English. I believe that you can also phone Dell here and get an English speaker.
I've bought an English laptop in England and brought it over, without thinking of the VAT because I had already paid it in the UK. It's different if you're buying from outside the EU.

Hi Tim,
No I found one quite easily, cclonline, however I'm a bit worried about the spanish postal system in case it "dissapears" @ £1300 would be devastating even with insurance.
It's a specific brand MSI so I cant really go to DELL, unless i went for the alienware in which case I'd have to sell the house
Think I might just pickup from the UK and take over
Thanks anyway

Also worth considering are their extended warranties which are actually good value - but on the other hand, from my experience of over 20 Dell PCs, they rarely have problems.

You have an English keyboard?
I best explain, I personally feel it best to have €+ñ+Ç+¿+ó etc than a pound sign!
Our last machines were Dells and lasted 10 years, one is still being used as a Linux machine but now we have UPI machines. Not quite so good as Dells.

That's what I like about Dell, you can practically have them build a computer for you to your own specifications. I'm keen on the Windows 7 Ultimate version, at a high price, of course, but being able to change the language is a big plus for me, but I could have a Linux Distro on a seperate parition in Spanish, couldn't I? And keyboards are so cheap nowadays, you can plug in a different one in an instant, even with a laptop.

I changed my Spanish to English, but changed back again cos Vista in Spanish keeps me awake.
