You cant miss it, if traveling Alicante-Cartagena or the other way, theres a huge sign that you can see from the motorway take the junction Albecete/Murcia heading towards Murcia its on the left 200 yards off the motorway. If coming from Alicante direction take turning straight after Albecete and swing round under motorway.

hi all,
we went to ikea last week,
very easy to find we came from benidorm, staight down the n332 got off for the airport, just followed signs for murcia, and when you came to a big roudabout it was on the left couldnt miss it.
and it is a big one cafe is very reasonable, that reasonable you got a free breakfast (sausage bacon scrambled eggs bread jam and butter and a drink).
had a good day spent loads and you get 90 days to take goods back which is good if your not on the doorstep.

Hi Sandie
I am going next week but i will be buying sofas and beds so i need it delivered, (i have heard that Ikea charge quite a lot for deliveries). I am sure someone was advertising this service at a resonable rate.
Thanks J

hi josephine,
yes they do charge alot, also ive seen someone advertising and they seemed pretty expensive aswell, you would be better hiring a van for half a day think its about 80€ alot cheaper. as it took us about 1 and half hrs to get there its not that far so half a day would do you wouldnt need a full days hire.we went from benidorm so you might be closer than we are.
hope this helps also get there early as the place is rammed we had to que for over an hour to pay for the stuff to get out.

hope this helps

Hi

Be very careful about hiring a van, (a) its quite expensive (b) unless you are familiar with roads around your IKEA, or know you can get a van into the car park (it's not in IKEA's interests to encourage this) you could find you are unable to park anywhere near and (c) if you are buying sofas/beds, they will take up a whole trolley, so if you end up with more trolleys than people to push them, you could be in trouble when trying to get your purchases to your vehicle.

We thought we would cut out the middle man and hire a van but when we discovered the price, we went back to the middle man (and woman) and were very glad we did. They were so helpful and it really did not cost us much more than van hire.

However, I don't know if they would operate in your area. Our nearest IKEA is Seville. Its probably too far for them but I will pm you with their details.

Can't believe the cost of shipping a sofa from england would be viable, but its your money.

IKEA's sofas are a whole lot better than anything I could find in my area of Spain, for the price..
