If only you had known ......
For those of us who are still in the UK and contemplating the move, what is it that you know now that you wish you had known before you made the move?

What's the problem? People still in the UK, waiting/wanting to move, want to know what those who have already moved wished they had known before they moved.
Nothing. Found out what I needed when I got here. Luckily didn't buy a house. Spanish? Still don't know an awful lot but it doesn't matter too much.

Even those here for the long haul still have to learn day by day as the Govt makes ever more hoops for them to jump through as well as devious ways to screw them silly.
So in answer to "if only you had known" I would say you'll have to be prepared to keep finding out when you get here.

How long it takes to do simple things and how frustrating it is wasting hours of your week achieving very little.

If I had known up front about all the pitfalls etc. that there are - I probably would not have made the move! However I am extremely glad that I did (11 years ago), and have enjoyed my time here.
If you are considering making the move, then make sure you have "sufficient" finance for the lifestyle you live now and want in Spain, and make sure you can adapt to whatever you find when you get here.
