IBI

There are web sites that show the cadastral reference but I don't know that it shows what has to be paid.

I have usually gone to the SUMA office and they pull up what is due on the computer, they collect for Hacienda in our area at least (north Costa Blanca). Have you not received the bill in the post?

Don't know if this is the same as the SUMA office but we had to get a copy of our IBI when we first bought our house as the one we had was for a different house (long story). Anyway we got ours in Velez Malaga from an office called PATROATO DE RECAUDACION PROVINCIAL which is just down from the Hacienda on the opposite side of the road next to the pahrmacy (in case this helps anyone in this area). Just waited in the queue to be seen printed of copy of the IBI from the computer.

As I get no notification of mine I take last years to Ayuntamiento and ask for the bill for this year. It comes out in Sept here I think.

When you pay the IBI make sure the cadastral number is the correct one for your house.
Eighteen months ago when we paid ours they had made a mistake that we didn't notice, we actually had paid for the house next door.
At this point in time after eighteen months and many visits to the office we are still waiting for a refund from Malaga.

In October they said we had not paid so it was a visit to their office to sort it all out (one of many), we had to pay 'ours' including a fine for late payment...which they will not refund us even if and when they do get round to crediting my bank account for the overpayment.

After eighteen months we finally two weeks ago received a paper to say the refund has been authorised
.....I'm guessing it will be at least another two years though before I get it , if at all. This is in fact the fith year that they have got something wrong....if they had a brain they would be dangerous!

Slightly off topic but has everyone completed their 210 for the year?
