The direct debit from La Caixa for my IBI payment this year has not been taken yet. The 2 payments have always been debited around 12 August in previous years.
Has anyone on the forum had a similar problem?

Yes. We used to pay by DD.

For some reason my NIE number had been allocated to someone else (as well as me from years back). When this was done, all associated bills etc. had the new persons details. As a consequence, my bank details were lost and so no DD's were taken.

It's taken over a year to fix this issue and get them using DD's again (at least I hope so).

I have other DD's for water and electric that are being paid ok. I wondered whether anyone else locally had made DD payments ok to the townhall in Ayamonte for IBI in August or whether their's were delayed also. I am hoping the DD will still work as I don't fancing queing up for hours at the "Agencie Tributaria" again.

Ours has been debited from our account today.
About ten days later than last year.
