Default Hydroflow - Prevents limescale

Has anyone had the above fitted to their boiler? It sounds good stopping the build up of limescale and making water generally softer for about 250 euros. However I am always a bit sceptical about claims.

Limescale is caused mainly by having the water too hot, and Spanish water is soooooo soft already. Turn the temp down save your money.

No, it's not it's full of cal. The swimming pool isn't exactly boiling and it gets plenty of cal and the water isn't even that hot coming from the boiler, which is pretty inefficient. I know what soft water is like, I come from Devon.

Hi Glynis

How did you hear about HydroFlow? The guy who fitted our boiler passed us a couple of their leaflets but we haven't had a chance to look into it yet. He believed that it would prolong the life of the boiler but left it very much up to us to decide whether we thought it worth the money.

Be interesting to know if anyone uses it already though...
