A rescue helicopter (or at least that's what it looked like - bright yellow) just flew by. Wonder where it's heading and hope that nothing terrible has happened.

Just started all over again here in Albir!!!!!! The thunder is making the windows shake and I don't like lightening - good job I can hide in the bathrooms!

We've been tidying the spare room and feel quite satisfied with the result - now we have opened a bottle of wine and in a short while won't give a damn if it rains (which it is doing right now but no thunder at the moment)

Well we thought it had eased off but it is absolute "hammering down" - one of my Dad's lovely expressions and I don't think it is "a clearing up shower" (another one of his). I can't decide whether to start cooking and pray that the electrity stays on or go hungry which would probably be much better for me!

P.S. So when shall we move in then - we will be no trouble!!

Anytime you like Sue I've made two huge pans of broth this morning and there's plenty left so you won't go hungry

If it's that bad, it sounds like the gota fria (cold drop) which usually hits the Costa Blanca region at this time of year oct/nov.

Sunny skies are here again!

This is the time of year for la Gota Fria, but even so that has got to have been one of the worst storms we've experienced in 11 years on the Costas.

As many other people have commented on this forum, the weather is changing in Spain and is becoming far less predictable.
