Water is 15 €`s a quarter, Electrickery 50 to 75 €`s for two months, gas bottles for hot water boiler just gone up to about 13 €`s
You will find it quieter if you get off the coast a bit.

Between 400 and 600€ a month round here for what you are looking for, some may look a little more expensive BUT they may include bills etc, you do have to search around. Look in English Language newspapers for the area you are wanting, incidentally in this type of enquiry it does help to indicate that st the start.

We were paying €750 per month for a two bedroomed two bathroomed apartment in Albir just outside Benidorm. We also had an inside pool, outside pool, sauna and paddle tennis court. We were 5 minutes from the beach. On top of this we had to pay electricity, rubbish and water and these cost roughly what JDR has said.
We have now moved south of Alicante and are now paying €600 for a three bedroomed, two bathroomed house which has a communal pool.
Certainly we have found prices cheaper in this neck of the woods.

I pay a thousand euros a month for a 2 bed bungalow type house, 2 bathroom and nice and roomy with roof terrace etc, all bills included and a minute walk down to the beach. That is in Riveria on the Costa Del Sol. Could have got cheaper but to find someone to take my bulldog was a hard task and plus the area is lovely.
Edit to say we have a pool to use and tennis courts as well.

Rentals are usually cheaper if you want at least a year. Shorter term is more expensive, also the more inland the cheaper. We are paying 480 euros all in for a 3 bedroom 2 bath villa with pool in the campo.
