Not selling my UK property when moving to Spain was the second best financial decision I ever made (the best decision was buying it in the first place). Of course that was 13 years ago and who knows what the next 13 years hold. Another option could be to sell your UK house (to avoid potentially paying CGT on existing profits further down the line) and then use some of that money to buy a highly lettable property that is low maintenance.
