How Many Dogs
Hi, is there a limit to how many dogs you can keep at home. I live in Andalucia.

Re: How Many Dogs
Hi all depends where you live accommodation wise. Your own property or rented. If the latter up to the owner.
We have a property in the Campo and have had up to 10 dogs, mostly rescued.
Lots of our friends have had many more.

Hi Catsndogs, thank you. Our own property in the campo. Just wondered if there was a limit to the number you could have and if you needed a licence. We are in Chiclana, Cadiz.

We have never had a licence for any of ours nor have our friends. Not sure if you have to have the for certain breeds classed as dangerous. Best to ask your vet.

I seem to recall that you can NOT keep more than 6 dogs without being licenced/registered as a breeder (or similar).
I could be wrong, but that's what I remember reading.

Was curious about only being allowed 6 dogs in spain so bought up a site with info on dogs in Spain. Eventually found an article which stated you are only allowed to travel with 5 pets when travelling to Spain.

Have been in Spain for 10 years so I think I might know about this. All our dogs are well covered with collars and are regularly checked by our vet

So why dont ask your local Ayuntamiento? , it may vary region to region , if you have neighbours I doubt they will be impressed by loads of barking dogs and may denounce you.
