You wont be able to, even the police have trouble getting hold of numbers, I had a house traced a couple of years ago from a private number and the CID friend who did it told me its a nightmare of paperwork to back themselves up.

Go down to your provider and get them to block that particular number. I did it recently when I was receiving unsolicited texts that I was paying for. It´s very easy and it takes immediate effect.

I second that - unwittingly did it to one of my friends' numbers & took ages to work out why I wasn't receiving her texts. We even sent test texts between us. I think it's called screening, too.

You can even block that number yourself - I think the feature is called "add to screen list".
Sorry to jump in on this thread, but where do I find the screening feature on a mobile? I have tried to find this, but have given up. I may have to go into the Movistar shop, but as it is their texts I want to stop I do not know if they will be very helpful!!!

Go to the number on your phone (the one you wish to block) and, under options, select "Add to scrn. list"
What you can't do, is stop MOVISTAR marketing themselves - I have tried until I am blue in the face!

Thanks Snikpoh. I have tried what you suggest.
When I go to the text message I have the choice to 'reply' or 'more'.
Under the choice 'more' I have Call, forward, details, save, delete. There are no other choices.
Am I looking in the wrong place? I look on the received calls list and the numbers that were texts are not listed, so I cannot look at it that way.
I am not very quick with anything on mobiles other than phoning and texting, I have been all through the owner instruction manual without any luck.
If I receive these texts when out of the country will I get charged to receive them? Sometimes I get 3 in a day!

If you are not with Movistar then do as I suggested and go to YOUR service provider, i.e. Vodafone, Orange etc, and get them to block the texts. As I said, this was happening to me and I went to Vodafone, they did it there and then and I haven´t been receiving them since.
