Hospitals?
#1
OK so we had our first scare since we have been here where a member of my family was taken ill and in bed for 5 days! Thankfully she is ok now but we really did think we would need to go to hospital!
Just out of interest i know there is a hospital in Albir and one down in Benidorm (Ave Europa I think), whats the status regarding English speaking Doctors and what about opening hours? Are they open 24/7 or are there certain times when they are closed?
Cheers in advance

There are two hospitals as far as I know in Benidorm (one private I think) and there is also one at Villajoysa. Other than that I cannot help although I did hear that the hospital in Villa was getting rid of English speaking staff to take on Rumanian speakers instead
I think I saw it in the Costa Blanca News!

Benidorm Clinica is Private unless you have insurance.
Villajoyosa is the A&E place to go. Have E111 card or social card otherwise there is a charge for treatment there also. No English spoken or at least very little!
There is good British Private Practice I have used a couple of times in Alfaz.
Lady doctor really good. It was 50 euro for initial visit and 30 euro for subsequent follow ups. Worth it though if you are in pain!
