Noble motives but let's hope it doesn't blow up in their faces.

In very rough numbers ​​​​​tourism accounts for around 10% of GDP, brings in something like €130 billion per annum, and provides employment for up to 13% of the working population.

Such crackdowns not only reduce available accommodation but also jack up prices for what remains and without affordable accommodation those figures could be decimated.
