PS. went out on sat night to the casino with 17 lovely friends...not a witch in sight and had a great time. I am so glad i got things off my chest and was brave enough to take the chance. Another lady said she was aware of the situation and it was not a reflection on me, but a reflection on them. ( they had tried to start on her!)

well i am not really packed as much as i thought
Also i am sure my stalker has a voodoo doll and cursed me. Are car has broken down and it appears to be a big job, but not 100% sure yet.
We now also have to look for somewhere to stay as soon as we get there, As the house has fell through
But apart from that things are going well .
Have not booked the ferry yet as unsure of the car situation.
However it will come good
A meet up sounds fab, It would be great to met lot's of people in the same situation and have a good laugh.

The house falling thru may be a blessing in disguise, as if you maybe now have to rent, it will give you a chance to thoroughly research the area, maybe save loads of money on the next house you see, understand some of the costly issues that may arrive, and generally get to grips with some of the reality before you lay out big bucks!!

Terrible news about the house falling through, is there anything there that we can learn from when buying , if so, then perhaps a big minus can be turned into, at least , a little plus ..

Well regarding the house, firstly the legal papers were incorrect and illegal first lesson" have a good lawyer"
Then we went to rent a place which now wont be done in time (never mind cant be helped) so monday as soon as we get there (if we get there in this heap of shit) we are looking at rentals after driving for the two days zzzzzzzz.
Once that is done i will sigh a sign of relief.
And the rental must have a telephone linexxxxxxxxxxxx

Why not try and get a rental via www.kyero.com. , you might find somewhere even at this late stage

I am also a massive beleive of everything happens for a reason although at the time it fells awful.

We bought our apartment and moved in but now, we realise we would love a little more sun during the winter months as it gets a quite dark. However in the summer months we hardly need to use the aircon...little things like that.

Have a good look around and see what urbanisations / areas the sun is on in the afternoon / early evening. I wish I had afternoon sun.
And talk to neighbours..

Yep keep your chin up Miss N, we had a house fall through once and the house we found instead was 100% better and a much better investment

Like other people have said you can now rent for a while, you will still get decent rental rates as it is low season and you can sus the area out and get an idea of your perfect location and house.

Re the car - at least it broke now and not on your 2 day journey down - just think how bad that would have been Look on the bright side and keep positive - if that fails have a nice chilled glass of Cava and think about drinking on your balcony in Spain
