aye, tis the weather. almost gale force winds blowing up out at sea so they say, the ferry coming in hasnt got there yet, he reckons its fighting against the winds coming this way, gotta feel sorry for the people on that boat.

Poseiden Adventure
Titanic
Riding a Moped around the Peak District One Handed

Don't envy them at all, this is what I dread when its time for us to catch the ferry, not a good traveller at the best of times, need travel pills to get on a swing lol. But just think Cajam in another week it will be a distant memory, try not to worry and sleep well

Re: he's gone

Im getting that same ferry in 5 weeks! So i hope the weather is better for me! :D Hope he got off OK and is now sleeping, yes he'll get there later but at least he'll get there, Dont want to be trying to sail in gale force seas. Delays are a pain. Just a shame he wasnt actually on the ferry itself during the delay as theres usually plenty to do and he coulda got a shower gone to bed etc. cant be fun stuck in the port :(

Best of luck to you both. My OH will know exactly how youre feeling as im doing the same in 5 weeks, leaving to start life in spain whilst she shuts down everything here. Then she'll be flying over.. think it`ll take more than a week tho.

He said they told them its gonna get rough about half way through.

Glad they got off ok :) The wind picked up again and was gale force and sounded horrible. We felt sorry for your husband and his dad having to catch a ferry in that. Our 'For Sale' board was blowing backwards and forwards and it's a wonder it didn't blow over, it really was a horrible night. It's still windy down here today but beautiful sunshine so I really do hope it's not too bad out at sea.

They will be ok and soon you will all be together in a lovely warm sunny climate with this horrid cold weather behind you. :)

Oh, bless your poor hubby!

He'll have to tell his (nicely refreshed Dad!) to do the first part of the drive, so he can get some shut eye ;)

What time, and where, are they due to land??

Keep us posted - we're all rooting for you :)

I have no idea, originally they were meant to be leaving at 9pm monday and arriving at 9am wednesday, so i'm assuming that coz they left at 6am they'll arrive at 6pm?
