here we go again! grrr

'lovely' neighbour has just told me that 'someone' is complaining that we are subletting!!

we're not, we're host parents,,,,,it's been checked out legally & it is no way classed as subletting

we had students last year and no-one complained

someone who lives here (cuts it down to about 1 person!) but she won't tell who

is she just trying to piss me off?

hate to say it's working

anyway..hubby just came off the phone with the committee 'presidenta'

she has heard no complaints at all......this year or last.........but wiil investigate & call us back tomorrow

she knows the organisation we deal with & says no way are we subletting, and as long as there are no more than 8 people living in the house no community rules are being broken

she asked who had told us this.....and her reaction was ..........'oh not them again!'

lynnxa, there are people who seem to be put on this earth to make the lives of ordinary souls like you and I purgatory.:( She sounds an evil witch. There was a time that such people were tied to a wooden post and given a new way to keep warm:thumbup:
As long as you know that you haven't broken any rules, let her stew in her own juices...or should I say mire??:p

well we've found out it was some woman in the flats who couldn't swim lengths in the pool the other day ....jeez the boys are only in the pool about an hour & a half after school!

'nasty' neighbour told her to try swimming between 3-5pm! (siesta)

have been with nice neighbour this evening - we reckon mrs nasty was trying to upset me cos she hadn't said a word to them (they rent too) - but did tell them who had complained when they asked her

anyway it's backfired now....mr nasty was shocked we'd found out, since as far as he's concerned there's no problem (he knows mrs nasty is stirring it, but not that she told us .......yet!;) I'm saving that:D)

anyway it's totally backfired, since I reckon I might have an 'in' at the 'owners meeting' now......representing all long term renters:rofl::rofl:

Yep, been shearing sheep with a group of Kiwis, then sat in the pub with them since 8 with a group of Argies.

As the only Spanish/English speaker there I was a touch confused by the conversation!!

I can well believe that, my Spanish friend translates for me when we visit another Spanish family, can be really funny as Rosa will tell Pili in Spanish and then Pil will tell me in SPANISH:eek: I will say English Pili and she will say que!

Thankfully a couple of the Argies understand English, but there are still a hell of a lot of words that they don't understand.

I was absolutely knackered after 80 sheep as well!!

next instalment..........

presidenta of the committee has phoned back...has confirmed with the community managing company that there have been no complaints - and went as far as to say that if anyone tries it at the meeting she will 'shoot them down in flames'

as long as we & our 'surrogate children' are not breaking any community rules as far as number of people in the property, noise & causing damage etc., then we have exactly the same rights as an owner (naturally they mustn't break the rules either)

of course we knew this.........good to have it confirmed though

and also when we told her who was complaining, we got another 'oh her!'

now, maybe I'll just get mrs nasty's hubby to pass on my thanks for the 'heads up' about the potential problem:sneaky:

..........and here we go again...........again:mad:

spent the day on the beach again

one of our neighbours who holidays here has a couple of those water scooter thingies (I'm so mad I can't think what they're called)

nasty neighbour had arranged for her 3 boys to have a ride on them

the boys then bumped into some other kids from the language schol & asked if they could have a ride

scooter owner says ok, and then offers all 6 of mine a ride too

now if you were a 12/13 year old boy would you say no??

one scooter breaks down so my kids didn't get their ride....although the other kids from the school did....scooter owner says bring my dd's to beach tomorrow & they can have a ride

just as we're about to leave the beach they got 2nd scooter going......3 boys from mrs nasties call my boys over

I say ok I'll wait if they're happy to take you

mrs nasty starts on me ....my boys are out of order for wanting a ride & so am I for expecting them to get a free ride

she had put a stop to it!

I'd better not meet her in a dark alley any time soon:curse::mad:
