hi Lisa.we too sold up and moved to spain 4years ago.we wanted a home on the coast near moraira ,we ended up in the jalon valley where we bought a finca and are extremely happy with five cats that came with us
(it was seven but now five ,long story) I would not worry about expat communities they are every where. the Spanish around us are wonderful and kind and you need to mix with them for your daughter.embrace the Spanish life style and i,m sure you we love it. the area you choose is the most important i think take your time looking.the vets here are very good and reasonable.please don,t believe every thing an agent tells ask the locals in the bars and shops even at the childs schools all are very helpful. in my experiance here in spain the language important i,m lucky my wifes is good mine is poor but i try the locals laugh and smile but i seem to get what i want..there are some very nice people on this forum with good info just keep asking .IF i can help with info i will try .most of all try and relax take your time it,s a fantastic life in spain all the very best to you.

Camposol, Mazaron Country Club, Isla Plana, Puerto de Mazaron, Bolneuvo, 10,000 expats+ on the coast or a little inland, 35 minutes from the newly opened airport at Covera. Property prices and rents are very reasonable. Numerous estate agents in the region, all expats, should easily find you a new home. Hope this helps.
