HELP - JUNK MAIL, unauthorised order

I have just received an email from a company called spywaresoftware confirming my order and stating that my credit card will be deducted by 79GBP. I have not ordered anything from them, but, am worried that by contacting them I could be falling into some kind of trap. Can anyone tell me what I should do?

It's probably a trap. Spyware software is a common scam. Does the email have a link to click onto?
Check your credit card statements thoroughly in future and if something comes up phone the credit card company and tell them what's happened. If you didn't order it then you won't have to pay for it.

There is an attachment and it says order approval notification. Do I reply to it? Do I contact my credit card company immediately?

Don't reply to it or click on the attachment. You could phone your credit card company but I'm not sure what they can do.

Funnily enough i receved the same mail today. I've checked it through my spam filters and its junk. The .zip file attached to the mail contains a .exe file so its deffo a virus. Me, I'll be deleting it and forgetting all about it ;)

You should never open an attachment fromsomeone you don't know. Especially if the file extension is .exe. 100% it would a virus or trojan or something like that.

I use a filter within mailwasher that reports the files its stripped out and the contents (filename etc......). I never get the chance to open them ;)

Not that I would :D
