What a dreadful way to die...how can one human do that to another? I remember several years ago some guys in Texas tied a black guy to the rear bumper of a truck and drove off. The injuries and the way he died were horrific.

when I just saw the headline I half thought the driver might not have really noticed a little kid - especially if pi$$ed but even if totally plastered how could he not notice an adult!!?? |

There is no way whatsoever that the driver could not have been aware that something was under the car. He has, I believe charged with causing death by dangerous driving with a maxium sentence of 13 years. The charge should be MURDER.

British motorist faces 13 years in jail for boy’s death Court heard that the accused drove for two kilometres despite knowing the victim was trapped under the car A BRITISH driver who dragged a 17-year-old boy for two kilometres whilst he remained trapped under the car could face 13 years in jail. The youngster was knocked off his motorbike during a collision with a Citröen Xsara Picasso last March in Alfaz del Pi. A driver of a Hyundai Matrix, identified as David Walter Cook, 57, from Stourbridge, attempted to avoid running over the fallen motorcyclist, without success. José Antonio Caro BuendÃa became trapped to the underside of the car, but a court heard that the motorist knowingly carried on driving for another two kilometres, as far as La Nucia. According to police, when the driver realised a witness was following the trail of blood left behind by the car, he turned off the road and fled in the direction of the urbanisation El Valle. Once off the main road, the driver is said to have reversed and pulled forward repeatedly so that the body would come unstuck from the car. The teenager died as a result of his horrific injuries. Certainly not murder. The kid was knocked off his motorbike by another motorist and landed in the path of this guy's car which collected him up and carried him off down the road. Of course leaving the scene with the body attached to the underside of the car is inexcusable, but did the guy really cause death by dangerous driving, or was he merely an innocent victim in that respect.
