Worth a read with regards the German attitude of we are OK YA.

The particular apposite comment is the reference to James Saft of Reuters, one of the few economic journalists dispelling the smoke and mirrors of "quantitative easing".
If any business were buying up its own assets to inflate their value, I would have though a spell at Her Majesty's Pleasure beckoned.
But not if you are the Bank of England seemingly!
