they have given me an excellent quote, and i have booked them,
i am just scared as its quite a bit cheaper than your usual big companies.

is there a way of checking if a company is 'real'? or am i being too paranoid here!

Have they given you a copy of their terms and conditions?

Did they come to look at what they have to take before they quoted you? This is very important.

What insurance coverage did they give you

havent looked- i have supplied a full detailed list and they priced me that way.

insurance included, but havent seen it yet.
