Thanks Sam, I am just a small flock owner, I have friends who are full time farmers and they live off about £8000 a year, losing their stock will finish them.
Bloody Hell i dont know how they survive off that at the best of times never mind something like that happening - well its about time the government pulled their fingers out and started helping out our farmers as they do in other countries - that is a ridiculous amount to expect people to survive on i am really shocked by that. Seems like the animal industry has shot itself in the foot, a company producing vaccine against foot and mouth seems to have caused the outbreak. Ironic that as the use of the vaccine is prohibited in the UK
