What a simply fantastic thread!!!! I have had a mixed day - I've been told I'm a twat, a tosser, cruel and wicked, offered a spade, as it seems I am something of an expert at saying the wrong thing - on the downside I've had the afternoon off work to take the wife and lad shopping for school clothes - fantastic combination of shopping, a 15 y.o. teenage boy and pre-menstrual woman - I deserve a medal.

Just a normal day then you nobber, eh?? :D
Is "nobber" the same as "knobber" or is there a subtle difference? - still don't have a clue what either means - is it a compliment? Should I be telling new acquintances "Hi, I'm Gareth, I'm a (k)nobber"? |

No, some days work takes me away from home and access to a PC.

Yes, oh yes I would suggest you always introduce yourself as a nobber .... it will get you places you have never been before and establish more respect with new work colleagues. Knobber is the posher version of nobber, but I have clearly been drinking and started dropping my K's

Re: Had a nice day guys?
Well, my day would have been a whole lot better if a car hadn't caught fire on the nearby motorway, and burnt through the telephone cables to our village.................leaving us without phone lines (or Internet, obviously!) until late this evening!!
However, my day was obviously considerably better than the two poor souls whose car was a burnt out shell!! At least they weren't injured. Instead of bumming around on here, I've done more dreaded housework! The day improved somewhat when I spent 3 hours picking blackberries in the evening sunshine :) Haven't got an oven, so can't make a pie - guess I'll just have to eat them as they are ;) Was meant to be going to the exhibition of ballroom dancing - followed by a disco - that started at 11pm tonight in the village................but couldn't be bothered to have a shower and get changed! So, took the dog for a walk and then had fish fingers and baked beans for dinner at about midnight!! (I do eat mainly Spanish food, but just had a bit of a yearning for fish fingers tonight!!) :o |
Re: Had a nice day guys?
