Hi,
We are further along the coast, the other side of Torrevieja. Sorry I don't know anything about Guardamar. We are at Playa Flamenca, which is also quite a brit area!! Moving there permanently on 29th of this month.

it's horses for courses!!

when we first moved to Javea, there was an expat community, and we were grateful for that.........gave us a bit of a comfort zone......but a few years on, the expats (not just brits) are a majority, and it doesn't really feel like we are in Spain sometimes

so, we are looking for an area with far fewer brits..............although we have good friends here, (of various nationalities) so might stay put

Hi

My mums property is in Guardamar. The beach is nice with coffee bars along the front. There is a marina, pine forest and park. Lots of shops in the town and an evening market as you walk from the town to the sea front. Lots of bars and cafes to go to in the evening.

There is lots of info on this site: http://www.guardamarinformation.com/

Guardamar is relatively expensive as it is very popular with Spanish and everyone else
Must have the best beach in Spain
3 bed 2 bath Quads from circa £160k
3 bed 2 bath Villas from £176k
2 bed apartment, walk to beach and sea views circa £170k and duplex in same location from £170k
get in touch if you want to view

a Quad is a back to back semi detached.....a square with a house to each corner and each house has a front and side garden
Some people call it a duplex but then a duplex can be what we in UK call a town house

I have to disagree with you on that, I have a property in guardama and chose it because it was a spainish working town, Ie it has only 4 british bars.

Have to correct you there Marjal - there are 5 British Bars in Guardamar del Segura - Hoops, El Siglo, Shamrock, Larkman and Meditteraneo
Check the bars page on this website .....
http://www.cyberia-internet-cafe-gua...formation.html
which gives up to date information about Guardamar del Segura with great photographs, maps, hotels .. etc.

Adios
Mina
