Default Government 'Ayuda'!!!

HI guys.
I lost my job 6 months ago and I was entitled to 6 months dole (paro). Unfortunately this runs out on the 10th April and I still havent found any full time work nor have the dole contacted me with job offers. Where im living its very dire at the moment.
You used to be able to get 'ayuda',I know a friend who had it a couple of years back where they pay you around 400 euros a month for 6 months to help with your expenses but I also heard they were thinking of stopping this but not totally sure if they have yet.
Does anyone know if they have or if not what procedures do I need to take. If I dont get help soon I will be falling behind in everything.

Hi spainboy, they have scrapped the 400 odd euro help for people who's paro has run out, but they have replaced it with a similar amount as long as you attend some training courses (according to what I've seen on the news/read in the newspapers)

So just go to the INEM office and ask them about it
Good luck!

I think the money is a bit more than before, and it continues after the dole has finished.

Also for anyone over the age of 52 there is a payment of 420 odd or maybe a bit more, this lasts till pension age, (I think) you have to have paid the right number of SS payments.

I know somebody who applied for it about a year ago, and received the total amount in one lump sum on Friday, just over 5k.

I dont know if this would apply to anyone on the forum, but it is worth a go.
