Re: Golf Club
Hi everyone - please excuse my rather off topic post but can't find anywhere else to introduce a myself as a new owner on CE who just wants to say hello and hope to meet most of you over the years!
We have just managed to complete on a lovely top floor apartment in Vista and are absolutely thrilled! The culmination of 16 years day-dreaming made possible by the incredible value for money apartments here. We bought through Ana at Inmosol Ayamonte, (but via the agents on Vista as well - necessarily complicated but it worked). I'd like to say straight off the bat that Ana was great: A lady we found to be totally up front and honest about everything including the 'warts and all' of the situation here, but at these prices we are both very relaxed about it. We're in for the next 20 years minimum - so long as we stay in good health. I'm called Adam and my wife is called Janet, we're from near Oswestry in Shropshire. I'm approaching 60 and my wife is....n't. :amen: We won't be expats exactly but our agenda is to get to a position where we could live at CE for around 6 - 8 weeks of the year every year. Anyway, this is just to say hello and this thread seemed the most used - so the best place to do so - it's all exciting and good and as said before, it will be great to meet you at the Club House or 19th Hole over the coming months (- just got to find the spondoolies to furnish the place now!). All the best A. |
Re: Golf Club
Hi Adam and Janet, welcome to The Ayamonte Club.
We are just over the road in Marina Esuri and look forward to meeting you in the not too distant future. Regards Bryony and Mike P.S furniture (in my opinion) is totally over-rated a mattress and a few bean bags are adequate ;) |
Re: Golf Club
Hi Adam and Janet nice to here we have some more fellow Esurians joining us.
Congratulations on your buying of your property. My wife and i have been on Vista Esuri for nearly 6 years now on and off, and loved every minute of it.If you need any help at all dont hesitate to ask .There is always some one on this site who can help. Best regards Harry & Jac. p.s never know we might bump into each other in the new golf club bar. |
Re: Golf Club
Hey Mike, I am also in Marina Esuri (manzana 5, building1).

We invariably buy bacon and sausage to take home and they have even found there way down here to Ayamonte on one occasion.:thumbsup::thumbsup: |

Welcome and glad your purchase went well. We said it was a twenty year project in 2004 when we first looked around we are still saying its a twenty year project today not just because the world has been through the mother and father of all recessions but because we love it so much here. You have definitely bought on the right side of the recession and good luck to you. You will need the savings for the bean bags and super king mattress. Do ask when you are furnishing and fitting there are lots now who have been through the traumas and come out the other side.

Youd be welcome any Monday... and its a good place to start. Welcome and we hope you have some great experiences over the next 20 years+. We already have a sackload from the past 10 years when we came house hunting.... Jon PS get to 3 posts and you can send PM's to people... or you will find a lot of good helpful feedback if you have any needs, information etc if you post a question |
Re: Golf Club
Adam, Janet
Many happy years in the sun , lovely people in this neck of the woods. Enjoy. Martin |
Re: Golf Club
Thank you for all the warm greetings: It certainly seems like there's welcoming feel and a real 'european' flavour to the place.
I shall hope to introduce myself and Janet to people as we meet them. That's as soon as we've got it furnished. Right. Now then.......where's the nearest bean bag and mattress shop?!;) All the best A. |
Re: Golf Club
Hello and welcome, you just missed a cracking mattress down by the bins here lol and the kids had a smashing seat in the tree house till some spoil sport broke it up :-(

Re: Golf Club
Hi, it appears that the Golf Club will not be open until the end of September at the earliest but at least progress is being made, as work is being carried out as we speak. The course is being worked on to get it up to scratch and that is expected to open soon (Spanish soon ),it's a step in the right direction for all in Esuri.

I had heard that the locals way of saying the name makes it sound like 'S'martins' so we've adopted it. You're right about the bacon and sausage though - delicious:rofl::thumbsup::rofl: |
Re: Golf Club
The back nine holes are open from Monday 22nd Sept but not the Clubhouse.
18 holes will cost 15 Euros until memberships are sorted out. |
