Hey guys how's it going? I just realised that I'll be going to Spain to work for at least 6 months come November. I just wanted to have an idea of what to expect and if it is easy to get around if your spanish is not very good. Though I want to learn spanish as well, which was one of the main reasosn why I wanted to go to Spain. Also, will it be easy to meet people, make friends etc.? lol I'm pretty young (23) Is it easy to find a nice apartmnet that is not expensive? I will be staying somewhere the first couple months but may want to find something for myself or to share. So guys what can I expect? Oh, I'm in Canada by the way

Not too sure whether you are male or female, and it could be important. For females the easiest is to stand by one of the roundabouts at night, there are plenty of young men who will stop for a chat. For males, just go to the roundabouts, plenty of young ladies who will be happy for a chat.. and a little more

Does anyone know the typical cost for a nice one bedroom apartment? is it easy to get shared accommodation as well?

It really does depend on what part of the coast your going too but I was up in San Pedro today and noticed a few apartments, 1 bed for 550 euros up to....well you can keep going!! but this seemed to be the cheapest!
Hoped this helps??

There's some work down here as long as you're not involved in selling Spanish property! You don't need to be able to speak Spanish to live here at all
Normally plenty of flatshares about.. can pay as little as 300€ a month (all inc) in Marbella
