I'm not sure what you like about Gibraltar, but whatever it is, good for you. Personally, and everyone I know who spends a fair amount of time here, will tell you it is a horrible, grubby little place run by little hitlers and wannabee playboys!! |
Re: Gibraltar frontier queue
I find Gib good for banking and Wall`s sausages, thats about it really:rofl:
I`m undecided if I like the place or not:confused: |

So it is world wide thing. lol In 1949, there was talk about Point Roberts seceding from the USA and joining Canada. By 1973 there were tensions between the American and Canadian residents of Point Roberts. The Americans had threatened to cut off the Canadians' water supply, and hung up signs saying "Canadians Go Home." [7] |

Back to the original post.
Today the Policia local were to be seen playing with their Motorbikes at the roundabout by the Club Nautico but were taking no interest in the traffic queue which extended maybe 500 meters back beyond the point where they were diverting it in previous days. |

Have a look at the map HERE as I can`t post attachments on this site for some reason. At the same time I got some stick from the customs as I had some tools in my boot while on the way to a picnic and he said how do I know you are not going to work in the US of A. |

That place is the very epitome of all that is wrong with Gibraltar! Fat, sunburnt brits on holiday, displaying their cheap tattoos whilst exposing as much flesh as possible, venturing abroad to eat grease ridden fish and chips in a dirty square before going to buy some fags and booze  Okay I will stop now, each to their own and all that! |

Re: Gibraltar frontier queue
Queue could be anything from 2 minutes, to an hour, so take something to read incaes its the former!
I would suggest to be at the border for 8, as long as you know where you are going to park once inside. However personally, I would park in La Linea and walk across. |

Be careful leaving the car at Morissons, there is a 2 hour limit for shoppers only, and they are clamp happy! I would park in the ICC for convenience, or up near kings bastion for the other end of the high street. |

I was clamped after 3 hours, rang the number on the ticket, a guy turned up within 2 minutes and looked at the Morrison's bill and unclamped us and apologised for any inconvenience. |
