I only just noticed that my direct debit to Giahsa stopped early in June this year. I started to panic as I thought this was something to do with SEPA and that my water may get cut off. I haven't been able to get to Spain since December 2013 so have been unable to check. I had the payments checked out and apparently all is well. The Giahsa payment is now shown as "Servicio de Gestión Tributaria" or "SGTH" on your statement. I had noticed this but thought it another tax as the dates coincided with IBI payments. There is mention of the word Agua if you open the statement.
Not sure how many of you were aware of this but hopefully there will be someone like me who now doesn't need to panic.

Steve,
Thanks for your post which has clarified things for me. I noticed the direct debt to Servicio de Gestión Tributaria on my bank statement but thought they may have been a problem with the initial direct debit claim on my bank account which allowed them to take it using the "Servico" DD. Glad to learn I'm not the only one with the revised method and there is actually no problem with my DD.
John.

I got a non payment letter saying that the bank direct debit for my June invoice had been refused. CajaSur had issues with this name change from "Giahsa" to "Servicio de Gestión Tributaria" and did not pass the authorization.
I had to call Giahsa to ask if there were any other pending invoices and to know how to make a new direct debit authorisation.
There was the option of making this change at the bank but Cajasur told me that usually it doesn't work.
It is the second time I'm having this sort of problems with Cajasur.
