Anyone grown or tried to grow Vanilla orchids in Spain? Any success?

Nope. But we do have a man with a tractor turning over our front garden, aka a 1.5 acre jungle! I can see him now out the windows. Once he's done we can see about planting a dozen or so almonds so it blends in with the fields around us.
