Slightly unrelated but any tips on re-tuning a Sat box.
I've just come back out (near Torrevieja) and thought it may be a good idea to do a fresh scan.
I get three options on my GI box for the 'free' channels.
1. Blind scan
2. Manual
3. Manual (with Network search)
When I try it, options 2 and 3 pull in about 340 tv channels (only difference is that opt 3 takes longer to do).
Option 1 pulls in slightly fewer channels (330) which I find surprising.
Does anyone know if 330 to 340 FTA tv channels is about right for my area?
Also any comments why the blind scan pulls in slightly less.
Thanks for any help.

I think the last scan i did brought in about 260 actual free to air TV channels. (Freesat has about 180 TV channels)
330-340 sounds like you are getting a lot of duplicate channels and "test" channels.
Sometimes receivers scan frequencies that appear to have very slightly different settings ie SR 22000 and 21999 for example, but are in effect the same.
Blind scans try to scan all frequencies it thinks are there.
Manual usually just scans the frequencies already stored in the receiver.
Network search checks the data tables on the satellite and compares to those in the receiver then updates with any new frequencies the receiver does not have.
