I imagine that there's a lot of work keeping a forum going, weeding out the junk and removing the spam. Another forum I check sometimes has now blocked my account until (and unless) I 'upgrade', which means paying a small monthly stipend.
So much for them, I guess...
So - to those who work here to keep things going: Well done!

I assume you are talking about the same one that wants 35 euros from its members? Don't, whatever you do pay..... if you want to know why PM me.

Its the only expat forum that I've ever come across to try to charge money?? Most of them gain their income thru advertisers who see a busy forum?? But i guess that particular forum only advertises its other companies?

personally I don't mind the ads - sometimes it's amusing to see what the bots have picked up on - and sometimes the ads are useful

I know the forum involved and I know of the people behind it and the logic loses me.

When I moved to Spain this was the forum that helped me and its this forum that I have tried to help.

I know it gets its critics sometimes, but this is a place for valuable freely given information. Its gets its revenue from advertising, not necessarily from members

Of all the forums I see .... this one is the one that consistently helps people right accross Spain.

Lets not knock the other forum though ..... everyone has their own agenda

Odd is not the word.
All the current long posting members (well long-ish) had all posting/PM, ing rights taken away & the site will only allow posting "if" you pay 35eu.
It is no surprise then that it still only has a couple of members (who appear from the posts to be "alts" that do no exist) and the site aint got a hope in hell.
Or is there another agenda going on ?

He's either incredibly dumb to think that people who he offended by deleting their posts and making comments about them would even stay, let alone pay for the privilige or that new folk would come along and pay to join a forum with now posts for over a week!!

Or is this part of the "master plan"???? Its not the only "dead" forum he owns
