Chanquete fish restaurant. Only small chain of 3 but the one in Granada is excellent, always packed out with Spanish Don's and tourists sent there by the local hotels. If you can get a place at the bar try hard to keep it. All fish tapas, helpful staff, only problem is they don't open until 8pm and you can be feeling really hungry by then.
think they have a place in Salobrena but not sure where the 3rd one is.

After 10 years waiting for an Ikea to open in Valencia... between the local government red tape and Ikea demands... we'll see. Hopefully we'll be able to try their food there before we die.
And I won't lie... it seems that anybody likes Ikea but somehow they sell a lot everywhere! We have quite a lot of things from Ikea, starting with our last 2 kitchens (in 2 different houses, mind you!). I guess I'll use them again when we move to Spain... but it seems it will have to be their Murcia store.
Oh, as per the original topic: I quite like Nando's in the UK and so do all my Spanish visitors although they find the mild lemon and herbs quite hot, the GBK (Gourmet Burger Kitchen) has been excellent once but very disappointing a couple times so we are not back, and the occasional Pizza Express is normally good enough. In Spain we normally go to local bars and restaurants, not really chains.

Have to disagree. Breakfast of pitufo, jamon, aceite, tomate, cafe y sumo de naranja for 2€ - and tasty - and limitless coffee - can't be sniffed at. As someone said earlier the pork thingy is good, the salad bowl is good value, etcetera etcetera. Just have to make sure you've got an escape route avoiding the Ikea snake routine!
