Flying to Portugal staying in Spain
We are flying to Faro on Weds but holidaying in Spain. We need to fill out the Portuguese locator form which only allows for a Portuguese address or a permanent address elsewhere....does anyone know how we should fill out this form correctly?
Thanks

We have the same problem, flying on Thursday to Faro and staying in Spain. I am afraid I don’t have the answer but would be grateful if you could post the solution if you get one! Maybe somebody from the old Ayamonte forum knows the solution? Do we do a Spanish locator form instead of/ as well? Thanks.

If you can't get an answer from the airline or Portuguese consulate, you could try putting the address of the airport.
You don't need to fill in the Spanish locator form if you're travelling by land.

Take a look at a map.. you'll find border regions can have in/outbound multiple air travel options. Add to that each airport has a different infrastructure like car rental options, lo-cost airline options.... And even something as simple as quicker travel from the airport can.... and does... have a big impact in reality.
We live in a border region, of Spain, I would say that a huge majority of air travellers here fly into the closer Faro, vs Seville in Spain. I rarely even look at Seville these days, as long experience shows its normally a lesser option. Reducing travel time (and often cost) is a must-have for us, even without a pandemic.
However its great to live near an international border to have 2 cultures 'on the doorstep', and even the fact that we have a choice of culture+people, food, scenery, towns, beaches .... (And airports...) is an excellent advantage (the best for us personally) for example the nearest resto outside our development is actually in Portugal. But within 10 mins drive we have a large choice on either side. ... But remember the 1hr time difference

Re: Flying to Portugal staying in Spain
Just to update anyone planning a Faro - Ayamonte trip, the suggestion to use the Portuguese format of the Spanish post code worked perfectly, so we put in our Spanish address but used 0021-400 (Ayamonte) as the post code. And for all that work, none of out documentation including Covid certs, other than passports were checked in Faro (although we did hear some people being checked) and there is no border control between Portugal and Spain. So plain sailing!!
