our spanish friends, they are elderly, have flags above theire houses, they dont fly them all the time, but today, one had a white one and one has a green one, is ther any reason why. ?? does this go back to the cival war ?

They are the flags of Andalusia, the white having its origins in the Arab rule and the green was the Andalusian volunteers'. Probably flying because of the elections, and the desire for independence from Spain so national pride.
As the Andalusia anthem goes.....
