just saw and heard a cricket chirruping in a palm tree ouside my gate...........is this the first one of the year, and a sign of better weather? (it's been soooooo cold & windy the past few weeks)

Lovely and warm here now, but two days earlier in the week were windy and cold for here, seen several crickets in my (very small) garden, no cicadas singing yet but expect them to start soon, even cleaned the car today. When I ifrst saw the heading for the post, thought you were posting about the cricket world cup.
