Portugal resident here. Sadly this year we've been hit by some truly dreadful fires some of which, at time of writing, are still out of control. We have a great government website called fogos.pt which gives very good and reliable info regarding the location, size and evolution of wildfires. Later in September I am planning a two-week cycle trip to Spain, mainly in Castilla y Leon, which I understand is currently also experiencing bad wildfires. My question is is there a website that gives up to date wildfire info for Spain? Thx

I guess RTVE is as official as it gets but most news websites show an updated map. There's also the NASA FIRMS website.

If you enter in the search Fires Spain it will come up with a fire alert map showing when last updated. If you click on the fire symbol on the map it will give info of that and nearby fires. Next to each fire symbol it shows when last updated

There is an excellent app which gives realtime alerts. You can define the radius of the area you want to cover. At the moment it only covers Andalucia and Valencia provinces but it is going to add more areas. It shows realtime photos and comments from people in the immediate vicinity. INFOCA also posts the latest information from the firefighters at the scene.
