if you are on Spanish TDT then you will find that in most cases films and TV progormmes will be broadcast with their origianl sounttrack as well as a spanish one....SET (Sony Entertainment TV) is one that has a load of US programmes, and i also saw Doctor Who in english on 33 the other night..,
it is a bit hit and miss but usually the programme guide says if it is in the original language (VO -version original)

There used to be two Spanish satellite tv providers.
Canal Satellite and Via Digital.
They merged two or three years ago and are now called Digital + And yes, most films shown on the D+ platform still give an option for the original soundtrack.

In Spain the movies non spanish are translated to Spanish. There are strange exceptions in that are in the original language, with subtitles in Spanish. But it is this, exceptions. However, now the digital television in Spain, in the great majority of the cases (because I have seen that La Sexta, that is a channel of Spain, doesn't make this) when it emits a foreign movie of non Spanish language (American, British, German, etc etc etc) it is in both languages, in the version translated to Spanish and in the original language. For to see digital television it is necessary a decoder. If the movie is not Spanish, you can hear the movie in its original language with the audio option that offers the apparatus

There is also option for the subtitles, of course

I was watching Antena 3 on the ordinary TV recently and found a handy button on the control which puts the film (back) into English. However, each time the adverts came on (they are interminable, intrusive and irritating here) Arnold Schwartzeneggar suddenly started talking in Spanish again.

Only where it says VOSE or VOS after the film title. Some cinemas do these but not all. Its usually pretty limited.

Franco didn't approve of foreign languages so, rather than subtitles, he insisted on dubbing. There's now such a large number of 'dubbers' that the sysyem carries on. You can find VO - 'versiĆ³n original' - in some few cinemas in the big cities and they will be listed with the VO after the film's name (of course - a film may be named anything in Spanish - not necessarily a translation of its original name).
Anyhow, with the soundtrack on at full volume, a darkened cinema and a huge screen, coupled to (if it's American) a painfully obvious storyline, you'll soon pick up Spanish.
My first words in Spanish (well, after cerveza) was 'manos arriba'!
