Default Feeling blue? Call for the Smurfs...

http://my.telegraph.co.uk/expat/anna...-feeling-blue/

Out of the blue, the tiny, traditional village of Juzcar, a pueblo blanco in the Genel Valley in Andalucía has found sudden fame as Sony’s chosen venue for hosting the world premiere of The Smurfs 3D. But becoming the blue-eyed boy of the valley has come at a price. To satisfy the forthcoming invasion of tiny smurfs, known as pitufos in Spanish, the dazzling white village of Juzcar, including its historic church has had to turn-literally- blue.

A link on that page links to an article about Barcelona banning the pratice of wandering around shops, restaurants, public buildings etc in swim wear. Not before time! The author of the article asked mallorcans from her home village what else they would ban.
Here goes: bikinis, swimming costumes, Speedo miniscule trunks, lewd tattoos, board shorts, exposed belly button studs, big wobbly bottoms in tight shorts, mini skirts, translucent wraps tied about the waist (which fail dismally to mask white blubbery thighs) boob tubes, orange fake tan, multiple nose, eyebrow and ear piercings, men in three-quarter length trousers, Crocs, and the carrying of an open lager can by many an English “yoof.”
That's me OK then, not guilty of any of those! Crocs should be a hanging offence!

Painting a whole village a blue colour ??

I thought all these teckno whizz kids could get a computer to do it automatically

Or was it cheaper to paint blue then come back and repaint white?
At least everyone will get a new paint job.
