Default Farho (Intelligent Heating)

Someone has recommended that we should buy some Farho Electric Intelligent Heaters to keep us warm during cold Spanish winter months. Has anyone else used this form of heating? Any feedback welcome. Thanks.[/

I haven't any experience of these heaters but we have bought some excellent flat panel heaters which are low voltage, unobtrusive and just fix to the wall - they look like a square of plasterboard. You can paint them to match your decor and they are very safe to leave on as long as you want. We just fixed ours to the wall and they stay there all year, they are not in the way or anything. They protude a couple of inches off the wall.

We used them last year in January when it was snowing in parts of spain and it was absolutely BITTERLY COLD for a few days in Chiclana. You just keep them on all day if you want and they keep the ambient temperature of the room to a reasonable level, even with tiled floors etc. We are going to buy some more when we are next in spain so that we have them in all the rooms. They cost about 65 euro each. You might need two for a large room. We were very pleased with them as to run them is a fraction of the cost of the oil filled radiators that we had as an alternative.

They are by Econheat and you can buy them in DIY stores, we got ours in Polanco in Chiclana. Their website is www.econoheat-spain.com.

Sorry, this doesn't answer your original question but it might give you an alternative to bear in mind.

Best wishes

Cindy

Thanks a lot Cindy will check out the website. Sounds like your system is good value and efficient too. When I have a bit more info I will try to compare the systems.
