Re: Exploration trip France-Torrevieja
Reporting: Mission completed!
Thanks everybody for your help!
Did everything almost according to plan. Except a few blonde moments, but those did not spoil anything seriously. The Tarragona aqueduct will be for next time - I managed to miss it. But we did not miss the beaches and thats what counts!

The salt lakes in Torrevieja were not too welcoming, it was raining and no fun at all. But we saw flamingos in Calpe:

Wanted to climb the famous Calpe rock but angry seagulls drove us away - they attacked the dogs. Probably had nests there. No problem about people passing but no dogs.

We decided that although all the trip was beautiful, the real taste of Paradise was felt appr. from Tarragona till, lets say, Benidorm, and the strongest around Valencia, Safor and Castellon. The orange trees! Wonderful!

Happy to make sure the dogs also liked Spain and Spain liked them.
Here are the 2 explorers in Empuries:

Sure, next step is to rent for a while. Can you please tell if any of the towns/villages in the area (Castellon - Safor) are specially nice or just the oposite - better should be avoided? In terms of crime, drugs, etc. There is no point even in renting in the wrong place.
And just so pictures:
